Your state Association is here to serve you! As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that is modeled as a professional association and is independent of Cooperative Extension, the state Association can be an effective support and advocate for you and your local program.
FREE MONTHLY VIRTUAL PROGRAMS
Our quarterly newsletter contains project and activity updates from Master GardenerSM programs across the state. The newsletter is emailed directly to members. The current issue and archives are also available for members to view online.
ONLINE MEMBER DIRECTORY
Participate in our online, searchable Member Directory so that other members can find you and connect! You can even upload a profile picture. Find other members by using the search feature. (Members have the option to opt out of being found on search.)
Participate in virtual opportunities to share and network with other members. Share and get ideas, save time, collaborate, and stop reinventing the wheel! We learn from each other and build relationships along the way.
INSPIRE CONNECT EMPOWER (ICE) PROJECT GRANTS
Members are eligible to apply for ICE project grants that provide funding for their local program projects. These are non-competitive grants with the number and amount of awards determined by the state Association's ability to raise funds beyond our membership dues.
We invite our members to help us raise funds so that we can support local program projects!
EXPAND YOUR REACH
Volunteer WITH us and have a state-wide impact! Serve as a state Association volunteer, officer, committee member, or delegate to the Board. Or volunteer for a short term project. Help us ensure that we implement best practices, stay relevant and nimble, and fulfill the Association's purpose - to Inspire, Connect, and Empower MGVs like you.
Many agents count state Association volunteer hours toward your local volunteer requirement. Check with your agent to be sure!
BECOME 501(C)(3) TAX EXEMPT
Your local Association can apply for recognition as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization under the state Association's Group Exemption.
ASSOCIATION OFFICER NETWORKING
Members who are officers in their local Associations have additional opportunities to network together to share best practices and support each other.
If you are an active Master GardenerSM program student, intern, volunteer, or emeritus, we invite you to become a regular member of the state Association.
Join any time and enjoy one full year of membership from the day you join!
Cost of Membership: $20/year/individual
