The JC Raulston Arboretum invites all NC Extension Master Gardener volunteers to participate in their "Gardening in the South" symposium for new gardeners and gardeners that recently moved to the Triangle region. This event will appeal to gardeners across the state - not just Triangle residents! See below for the exciting line up of speakers from NC State's Dept. of Horticultural Science!

Just when you thought it couldn't get better . . . not only is this event FREE, but you also don't have to drive to Raleigh to participate! JCRA offers three easy ways to take advantage of this great learning opportunity:

  • Attend in person -  Advance registration required. Please register online using our registration e-store (Register soon - only 26 spots remaining!).

Saturday, February 2, 2019 – 8:30 AM–12:00 PM 

New gardeners and those that recently moved the Triangle are invited to participate in a new symposium at the JC Raulston Arboretum that's designed just for them. William Fonteno, Barbara Fair, and Ted Bilderback will discuss improving garden soils, planting, and pruning, respectively.

This symposium is designed for new gardeners and gardeners new to the Triangle. We plan on recording this program and offering it on YouTube for everyone. We will also offer it as a live feed the day of the event via our Facebook page.

Note: Registration is only needed for those that want to attend the live event. Please do not register if you plan on watching the live Facebook stream or via our YouTube Channel.
